CEE REGION In Q2 2014, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland have seen an enormous growth in the commercial real estate investment driven by low interest rates and strong appetite for properties, according to the latest research by CBRE.

POLAND In Q2 2014, the residential developers in Poland have marketed a record number of apartments. Even though the sales remained strong, the number of the newly-offered units increased for the first time in two years, according to Reas. The record number marks the third strong consecutive quarterly growth.

POLAND Eight-year old Galeria Mrówka, a Ciechanów shopping centre, has informed that it will undergo an extensive refurbishment and extension by the end of Q3 2015. The construction work, which is scheduled to begin in Q3 2014, will be performed by the mall’s owner, Rolbud.
POLAND A consortium composed of Aldesa Construcciones Polska and Aldesa Construcciones has signed a contract with the University of Warsaw for constructing a teaching building for the Faculty of Physics.

POLAND Capital Park Group has signed a lease deal with an authorized dealer of Nike for 426 sqm of retail space in Royal Wilanów in Warsaw. The under construction five storey building will house Nike’s largest single-brand outlet in Poland.

POLAND Three new companies are moving into Zaułek Piękna, an office building located at the junction of ul. Piękna and ul. Krucza in central Warsaw.
RUSSIA Germany-based logistics company Centos Сentral Logistics has leased over 18,000 sqm of space in the Omega Lease Kaluga logistics centre, a part of Industrial Park Vorsino, located 70 km southwest of Moscow.
POLAND French supermarket chain Carrefour has leased over 5,500 sqm in Fabryka Wołomin, a shopping centre that is being developed near Warsaw. Nearly 4,000 sqm of the newly-rented space will be dedicated to retail. The mall is scheduled to open in the autumn 2015.

POLAND Raiffeisen Polbank has leased 19,500 sqm in Prime Corporate Center, an office building developed by Golub GetHouse on ul. Grzybowska in Warsaw, in the largest Polish lease deal since the beginning of the year.

ROMANIA Starbucks has leased 200 sqm in Novo Park, an office complex located in the northern part of Bucharest, as the US coffee shop chain is entering Romanian office buildings.

POLAND Intel has extended its existing 3,500 sqm lease deal for the office space in Allcon@park in Gdańsk by additional 1,100 sqm, the business park's developer informed.
POLAND Echo Investment plans on developing a residential complex in Stare Dębniki near the Main Square (Rynek Główny) in Kraków. The construction work for the estate, comprised of 53 luxury apartments, is scheduled to start this autumn.

POLAND The preparation has started for Wola Park’s extension, a move that will turn the shopping centre into Warsaw’s second largest shopping mall. By the end of next year, Wola Park is set to be 17,500 sqm larger, offering 77,500 sqm of space in total.
