CZECH REPUBLIC Total modern warehouse space in the Czech Republic currently totals 7.37 mln sqm, almost 170,700 sqm of which was delivered to the market in Q2 2018 – according to the Industrial Research Forum.

POLAND The Hotel Deo Plaza hotel on the Spichrzów Island in Gdańśk is to be part of the Radisson chain, with the group having signed a 20-year contract with Zbigniew Nowak, the investor behind the Deo Plaza mixed-use complex.

Budimex happy with weaker results
POLAND For H1 Budimex has recorded a fall in its net profit to PLN 128 mln from PLN 194.7 mln recorded for the same period of the previous year. The company attributes this fall to the rising cost of wages, materials, subcontractors and transportation services and Dariusz Blocher, the CEO of Budimex believes the company’s performance to have been good considering the conditions on the market.
