Banks go local in pursuit of developers
POLAND Banks are currently awash with money and are not short of projects to lend it to. It is therefore of no surprise that many office developments in many cities are currently being financed. Office developers are trying to meet tenant demand by constructing many new projects, with the largest of them having many projects under construction in many attractive locations at the same time.

POLAND Triuva has prolonged three leases for a combined 1,600 sqm in two office buildings in Warsaw.

Kaufland opens two stores
POLAND The Kaufland chain has opened stores in Jarosław and Głogów and they will be the chain’s first stores in both towns.

Spark to have canteen
POLAND Polish canteen chain Connect Lunch Bar has leased 335 sqm of space in the Spark office complex, which is being built by Skanska in Warsaw’s Wola district. Its opening is scheduled for the third quarter of 2018.
CCC takes over franchisee
ROMANIA/POLAND CCC has bought footwear retailer Shoe Express, which was previously responsible for operating CCC stores in Romania through a master franchise that it had purchased from the previous operator Peeraj Brands International.

V.Offices topped
POLAND Investor and developer AFI Europe has topped off its V.Offices office building in Kraków.
Erbud with another medical contract
POLAND A consortium of Erbud Rzeszów and Fast Group has signed a contract with the Medical University of Łódź to extend the Teaching and Clinical Centre. The contract is worth PLN 25.1 mln, of which Erbud Rzeszów’s share is PLN 15.8 mln.

POLAND Every fourth shopping centre in Poland has now undergone expansion work. According to JLL, the reason for this is the growing maturity of the Polish retail market.
