Czech Republic Desk sharing raises workplace standards

According to data from Colliers, desk sharing is beginning to take root in Czech offices. Not only does it make office space usage more efficient, but it also offers employees greater comfort. In fact, companies usually invest up to half as much in standard, individual workstations as they would in traditional office layouts.

The Stepstone Group Polska, an international recruitment platform, will move its headquarters to the P180 building developed by Skanska in Warsaw's Mokotów district. The new tenant will occupy approximately 2,200 sqm of space.

Six months before the planned completion, Garbe has already leased the logistics centre under construction in Bollberg near Jena, Thuringia, Germany. Kontinent Spedition will move into the property that has a total area of 35,500 sqm.

According to an MBL survey conducted during H1 of 2023, the total stock of industrial space in Sofia exceeded to a little over 4 mln sqm ready-to-use space. Another 252,000 sqm were under construction and expected to be completed in the following year. During H1, approx. two-thirds of the current stock was owner-occupied.

The demolition has been completed of the overground structure of the Atrium International office building in central Warsaw, which is owned by Strabag Real Estate. The site is being prepared for the development of the Upper One office and hotel complex, which is expected to come into use in 2026.

In Bucharest, the interest of office tenants was much higher in Q2 of 2023, compared to Q1 of the year, according to the analysis carried out by Fortim Trusted Advisors. However, the experts expect the deliveries of new office space to be on a downward trend, both in the second period of the year and in 2024.
