Marriott launches third Polish location
POLAND Marriott has opened its newest Polish property, a Courtyard by Marriott-branded hotel in Gdynia. The new property will form part of the 90,000 sqm Gdynia Waterfront complex that is currently being developed by Vastint (formerly SwedeCentre), a part of Inter IKEA Group, at the Gdynia wharfs.
AccorHotels launches itself as reservation platform
POLAND Accor, a strategic partner of Orbis, is changing its name to AccorHotels and will also provide access to its reservation system – AccorHotels.com – to independent hotels.

Puro hotel to open in central Warsaw
POLAND The fifth hotel of the Puro chain in Poland is to be opened in Warsaw. The developer has bought a tenement building at ul. Widok 5/7/9 for the project. The chain has also secured a plot in Gdańsk’s Old Town, at ul. Stągiewna 23 on Spichrzów Island, next to the existing Puro Hotel Gdańsk, the opening of which was celebrated on May 8th.
