RUSSIA InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a franchise multiple development agreement (MDA) with Regional Hotel Chain, a portfolio company of VIY Management (VIYM), to develop 15 new hotels in Russia by 2019.

CZECH REPUBLIC Akroterion, a subsidiary of Loyd´s Property Investments group, is to construct a new 5-star hotel in the centre of Prague. Future hotel is to offer 120 luxury guest rooms, a restaurant and conference facilities on an area of 16,000 sqm.

Record stays in Budapest last year
HUNGARY The number of guests and guest nights in Budapest last year increased by 3.6 pct and 4.8 pct respectively, reaching a record high level – according to KSH (the Hungarian Central Statistical Office).
