HUNGARY The number of nights spent by foreign tourists in Hungary rose by 16 pct y-o-y in November, according to the Hungarian Central Statistics Office (KSH), while the number of nights spent by Hungarians fell by 3 pct.

POLAND The newly-built Mikołajki Resort hotel in Jora Wielka near Mikołajki is to be the seventh hotel in the DeSilva chain from June 2013. It will be the group’s first tourist hotel and its first in the Mazury region.

POLAND A franchise agreement has been signed for the four-star Motyl hotel on ul. Leśna in Krynica-Zdrój with the Orbis hotel group for it to be run under the Mercure brand from the beginning of 2013.

POLAND The Bristol Hotel on Krakowskie Przedmieście in Warsaw, which belongs to Starman Poland, is to join the Luxury Collection, one of the most prestigious hotel groups in the world.
Hilton Podgorica to open in 2014
MONTENEGRO The renovation of the Crna Gora Hotel in Podgorica is to be completed in 2014, when it will be renamed Hilton Podgorica Montenegro under a franchise agreement with Hilton.
Rivijera Kristal to open in Petrovac
MONTENEGRO Construction work on the five-star Rivijera Kristal hotel has begun in Petrovac, local media reports.
Second Mercure in Warsaw
POLAND Holiday Inn Warszawa on ul. Złota is to change its name to Mercure Warszawa Centrum and so the Orbis hotel chain (which owns the brand) is to gain its second Mercure hotel in Warsaw (after the Mercure Warszawa Grand) and its fourteenth Mercure in Poland.
Best Western strengthens its position in Poland
POLAND The three-star Łysogóry Hotel in Kielce has joined the Best Western chain. Best Western now has 16 hotels in Poland and is the second largest international chain in the country after the Orbis/Accor group.

POLAND The Orbis hotel group has signed a franchise agreement for a three-star hotel, which is to be built in Galeria Jurowiecka at the junction of Al. Piłsudskiego and ul. Sienkiewicza in Białystok.
Revenue down for Orbis
POLAND The Orbis hotel group recorded a revenue of over PLN 186.15 mln in Q3 2012, down by 1.2 pct on the same period of 2011.
