RSSNapollo wants no more CREAM
POLAND Napollo is to take over the management of its own shopping centres from CREAM, including Galeria Renova in Warsaw’s Targówek district, Galeria Grodova in Grodzisk Mazowiecki and the newly-built Galeria Piastowska in Gniezno.
EU says no to retail tax
POLAND The European Commission has ruled that the Polish tax levied on retail sales infringes EU rules on state aid.
Russians wooed by US brands
According to IKEA Centres Russia, US brands are currently winning over the Russian market. The most recent deals in the country have seen established stateside brands such as Armani Exchange expand their number of stores into double figures having entered the market only last year. Starbucks is expanding to new regions. Nike has developed a new concept store, and Yum! Brands, the operators of KFC and Pizza Hut have registered a 27 pct y-o-y increase in revenue for Q1 2017.

Lots of changes in Factory and Futura Park
POLAND A number of new tenants have signed leases in Factory Outlet and Futura Park in Kraków. New stores in the Neinver managed centre, which comprises an outlet centre and retail park, include Guess and Apart while Reebok has modernised its store. Carry has also opened a store while CCC has leased 1,800 sqm. The foodcourt, which is being redeveloped, has also gained an Olimp restaurant.
Lidl opens third Legnica store
POLAND On 22nd June Lidl will open its third store in Legnica. The new store on ul. Jaworzyńska will have a sales area of app. 1,300 sqm and a car park for 95 vehicles. “

POLAND Cinema3D is to open the first multi-screen cinema in the Podhale region in Color Park in Nowy Targ.
