Czech Republic Luxury goods retailers remain active
In 2024, a total of 83 new luxury stores were opened on 20 key premium streets in Europe in 16 cities and 12 countries, according to European Luxury Retail 2025, a study by Cushman & Wakefield. Prague and its Pařížská Street welcomed five new luxury stores, and 2025 is expected to be a record year in this regard.

Romania Scallier has plans for Romania

According to the latest report “At a Glance: Modern Retail Market in Poland, Q4 2024” from BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland, Poland’s retail market experienced record growth in 2024, expanding at its fastest pace since 2015.

Czech Republic Largest growth in the last 15 years
In 2024, nearly 80,000 sqm of new, modernized, or expanded retail parks were completed in the Czech Republic, now totaling 1.3 mln sqm of retail space – almost a third of the total retail space capacity on the market.

Poland New retail supply hits its highest in almost a decade
Cushman &Wakefield has summarised the situation on the Polish retail market. Over half a mln sqm of new retail space came on stream last year, marking the highest new supply level in Poland since 2015. This robust development activity occurred amid rising demand from new retailers and improving consumer sentiment which boosted retail sales.

Czech Republic Record-breaking year for the Czech market
According to a survey by Cushman & Wakefield, which has been tracking new entries for 11 years, 47 brands entered the Czech market in 2024. This is the highest number of brands to enter the Czech market, compared to 40 brands in 2023.

Poland Trei opens its 40th retail park
Trei Real Estate Poland has opened its 40th Vendo Park. The investment was created in Wrocław and has 5,000 sqm. Vendo Park Wrocław is the first facility under this banner in the capital of Lower Silesia. The retail park was built on a plot of approx. 15,000 sqm.

According to BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland latest report “At a Glance: Modern Retail Market in Poland, Q3 2024”, predictions of the imminent decline of shopping centres in Poland have proven premature. In Q3 2024, the Polish retail market expanded by another 116,000 sqm.

Romania Physical retail dominates
The results of the CBRE European Retail Occupier Survey 2024 suggest the retail sector and regional economy overall approach the end of a challenging period. The study includes responses from over 60 global retailers with a store network of over 130,000 locations, and shows that 71 pct of retailers planning to increase their number of physical stores intend to do so in markets where they are already present.
