Marvipol and Atal set January records
POLAND In January Marvipol found buyers for 44 apartments, having sold only 26 in the same month of the previous year.This is the highest number of apartments sold in one month in the company’s history.
First leases signed for Galeria Dębiec
POLAND Biedronka is to open a 1,500 sqm supermarket in the Galeria Dębiec shopping centre in Poznań. Red Real Estate Development has also signed leases with travel agent Holiday Land and chemist Dom Leków.
Two new Home & You outlets
POLAND Interior design store Home & You has announced two new openings. The company has leased 310 sqm in Galeria Solna in Inowrocław as well as 250 sqm in the Nowy Rynek shopping centre in Jelenia Góra.
Carry comes to Galeria Sfera
POLAND Fashion retailer Carry has leased a 600 sqm store in the Galeria Sfera shopping centre in Bielsko-Biała.
March opening for Veneda
POLAND The Galeria Veneda shopping centre in Łomża is to open on March 7th. The centre is to have a total area of 40,000 sqm with a leasable area of 16,000 sqm and 80 stores.
Takko plans further expansion
EUROPE German value fashion retailer Takko Fashion plans to open 50 new stores across Europe from between February and the end of April 2013.
Czech retail the most saturated – CBRE
CZECH REPUBLIC At the end of 2012, 2.9 mln sqm of modern shopping centre space was located in the Czech Republic, 877,800 sqm of which was in Prague, according to the latest report from CBRE.
Larger Mohito in Millenium Hall
POLAND The Mohito clothing store in the Millenium Hall shopping centre in Rzeszów has increased the size of its lease by 200 sqm and is now to occupy an area of 500 sqm.

POLAND Inter IKEA Centre Group Poland has applied for a building permit to build a shopping centre in Lublin.
Era retail park ”completed in Q4 2014”
ROMANIA European Convergence Development Company (ECDC) has delayed its proposed 28,000 sqm extension to its Era retail park in Iași pending the finalisation of a debt facility.
Carrefour goes SEE
EUROPE Greek-based Carrefour franchisee Marinopoulos is to bring the French hypermarket chain into a number of South Eastern European markets, according to local media reports.
Corall to open in May
ROMANIA The Corall shopping centre in Constanța is to open on May 15th. Cora, the project’s developer, denies local media reports that the centre is to open two months early (i.e. in April).
Alfa changes in Gdańsk
POLAND A number of new stores are to sign leases in Alfa Centrum in Gdańsk. The new brands are Sinsay, Gerry Weber, Ecco, 4F, Lavard and Subway, which will together occupy an area of around 700 sqm.
Abra focuses on franchising
POLAND Furniture store chain Abra is to open around 10 to 12 new franchise outlets in 2013. By the end of 2013 the chain could number 90 units.
City Center Sofia changes cinemas
BULGARIA The City Center Sofia shopping centre is to change its cinema operator. In June Cine Grand will reopen the recently refurbished 3,800 sqm multiplex, which will have six screens and 1,200 seats.
Mega Image opens in Bucharest
ROMANIA Mega Image, which is owned by the Delhaize group, has today (January 31st) opened its largest grocery store in Romania, in Bucharest, with 1,600 sqm of retail space.
Launch of Angel Wawel
POLAND Angel Wawel, part of the Angel Poland Group, is soon to launch the construction stage of its Angel Wawel residential project in Kraków, which is to include 235 apartments as well as some retail space on the ground floor of the building.
