POLAND Empik has announced a new format – Papiernik by Empik, which is a specialist stationary store selling school and office supplies. The store will also sell toys, board games, children’s books, greetings cards and packaging.

Galeria Centrum to be built in Płock

POLAND The Galeria Centrum retail centre is to be developed between ul. Chopina and ul. Targowa in Płock by Centrum Targowa. Galeria Centrum will have a leasable area of 41,000 sqm, 80 stores and 1,300 parking spaces.

Stokrotka to become Lithuanian

POLAND The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has approved the takeover of WSE-listed Emperia, which is the owner of the Stokrotka grocery chain, by Lithuanian-based Maxima Grupe which also owns the Aldik and Sano chains in Poland.

Coccodrillo still drinking the new year's champagne

POLAND CDRL, the owner of children’s clothing brand Coccodrillo, recorded a revenue of PLN 12.3 mln in March, which represents an 8 pct rise on the same month of the previous year. The company’s online revenue for the month was up by 14 pct y-o-y to PLN 1.6 mln.
