Just Gym opens in Ogrody
POLAND A 1,700 sqm sqm Just Gym fitness club opened in the Ogrody shopping centre in Elbląg. It includes various training zones for cardio training, free weights, standalone exercise machines as well as crossfit and group classes.
Retail space supply down 9 pct
POLAND In 2017, the supply of new retail space in Poland totalled 426,000 sqm gla, down by 9 pct on last year and down by 25 pct on the annual average for the previous five years, according to Cresa Poland.
Oxford Street tops high street rankings
EUROPE London's Oxford Street is the most frequently visited European high street with over 13,500 people visiting its stores every hour, according to BNP Paribas Real Estate.

Jatomi to close down
POLAND Pure Heath & Fitness, the owner of the Jatomi Fitness chain of fitness clubs, is leaving Poland. According to the company’s website there are now 35 clubs in the chain located in shopping centres across Poland.

POLAND Children’s clothing chain Smyk chain has leased 70,000 sqm of warehouse space in Panattoni Central European Logistics Hub in Łódź for its distribution and online store service centre.
16th Biedronka opens in Kielce
POLAND A Biedronka store was opened in Kielce on December 29th 2017. It is the 16th store of the chain in the city.

McDonald’s opens 400th restaurant
POLAND McDonald’s has opened a restaurant on ul. Olsztyńska 21 in Mrągowo in Northern Poland. This is the 400th restaurant of the chain in the country.
LPP plans 50 new stores
WORLD LPP intends to open 50 stores in 2018. As a result the retail area of LPP's five brands would increase by another 100,000 sqm. The company intends also to enter five new markets with either online or brick and mortar stores.
Newbridge buys Retalia Park
POLAND Newbridge has acquired Retalia Park in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. This is the company’s third acquisition in Poland.
