Romania's warehousing burgeons driven by logistics
ROMANIA In H1 2014, Romanian total leasing activity for logistics and industrial space has hit 230,000 sqm, a 46 pct y-o-y increase, as the country’s logistics operators remained very active, heavily investing in their infrastructure and storage capacity, says CBRE.

RUSSIA In the first six months of this year the Moscow warehouse market expanded by 700,000 sqm – the best result for this period over the past five years, according to report by Colliers International.

ROMANIA Guernsey-based real estate investment company Globalworth has acquired Timişoara Airport Park, a light industrial complex owned by Invest4SEE and located near the Traian Vuia International Airport northeast of Timişoara, for EUR 35 mln.

POLAND Panattoni Europe is to develop a new industrial park in Sosnowiec in Upper Silesia after buying a 4.2 ha investment plot from CTL Logistics.
CTP to construct custom-built facility for German pipe maker
ROMANIA Dutch developer CTP has signed an agreement with the German pipe manufacturer Fränkische to provide an app. 3,400 sqm custom-built facility at the CTPark Turda industrial and warehousing park in Romania worth EUR 2 mln.
Warehouse vacancy grows in Kyiv area
UKRAINE At the end of Q2 2014 the primary vacancy level in the warehousing sector in the greater Kyiv area amounted to 10.1 pct, representing a 5.4 pct increase on to Q1, according to research by DTZ.

Polish warehouse market keeps growing
POLAND The volume of newly delivered warehouse space in Poland in the first half of the year amounted to 326,000 sqm, compared to the 198,000 sqm delivered in H1 2013, according to an industrial market report by Colliers International.

Panattoni Park Łódź East enters homestretch
POLAND Panattoni Europe has laid cornerstone for its fifth, 24,000 sqm warehouse at the 187,000 sqm Park Łódź East complex, which opens the final chapter in the park’s construction work. The development's general contractor is Kajima Poland, the company informed.

Prologis posts strong Q2 results in CEE
CEE REGION In Q2 2014, Prologis has signed new lease contracts for 157,000 sqm of space and renewals of more than 274,000 sqm. In total, the US-based company leased nearly 520,000 sqm in Central and Eastern Europe, up 86 pct y-o-y, while its occupancy rate in the region stood at 90.1 pct.
Segro Ożarów warehouse with furniture tenant
POLAND Denmark-based furniture retailer BelBazaar has signed a 700 sqm lease contract with Segro for its warehouse space in Ożarów. The new tenant will move into the 36,600 sqm Segro Business Park Warsaw facility in December 2014.
German Centos lands in Kaluga
RUSSIA Germany-based logistics company Centos Сentral Logistics has leased over 18,000 sqm of space in the Omega Lease Kaluga logistics centre, a part of Industrial Park Vorsino, located 70 km southwest of Moscow.
