On September 7th, the jury of the Eurobuild Awards for Architecture completed the panel discussions for the second phase of the competition. The results of the voting were announced on September 14th during the Architecture Festival in Warsaw. The event was organised by Eurobuild Conferences.
The jury, which held the discussions and the subsequent vote at the head office of the Association of Polish Architects (SARP), comprised architects, investors and developers, including:
• Grzegorz Stiasny, vice-president, SARP
• Szymon Wojciechowski, APA Wojciechowski
• Ewa Kuryłowicz, Kuryłowicz & Associates
• Zbigniew Pszczulny, JSK Architekci
• Marek Borkowski, IMB Asymetria
• Aleksandra Zentile-Miller, Chapman Taylor
• Arkadiusz Rudzki, Skanska
• Leszek Sikora, ECE Projektmanagement
• Anna Duchnowska, Invesco Real Estate
• Michał Skotnicki, BBI
• Mieczysław Godzisz, Hines
• Brian Patterson, White Star
• Tomasz Tondera, Griffin Real Estate
• Marek Sadowski, JEMS
A heated debate took place over the nominated projects, but a number of them were almost unanimously recognised for their architectural value. Eventually, the jury selected the winning projects for each of the six categories:
1. Shopping Centre of the Year
2. Office Building of the Year
3. Revitalisation of the Year
4. Workplace Solution of the Year
5. Eco- and User-friendly Facility of the Year
6. Public Utility Place of the Year
The nominated projects were all completed over the 2014–2015 period. More information about the Architecture Festival can be found here
