Star Capital Finance (SCF) has been in the news again recently with the EUR 110 mln acquisition in a joint venture of a portfolio of six Polish retail parks. This followed the purchase of the Jantar shopping centre in Słupsk earlier this year and its entry into the Romanian market. In 2024, it made an even bigger splash with the EUR 285 mln deal for six Polish shopping centres – which was voted CEE Transaction of the Year at the Eurobuild Awards. So, we spoke to the CEO of the Prague-based investor, Josef Malíř, about SCF’s approach to the ever-changing retail sector.
