Moczydło and Góra Szczęśliwicka for modernization

The redevelopment of the Moczydło centre will cost a gross amount of nearly PLN 26 mln and it will be a gross amount of PLN 9.84 mln in the case of Szczęśliwice. “Moczydło and Szczęśliwice are among the centres which we are to modernize in the next few years. We want residents of Warsaw to be able to use the best prepared facilities by improving the standard of our services as well as the conditions for practising various sports. Over the past few years, we have carried out a number of projects in this area, but a lot of work is still going on,” says Renata Kaznowska, deputy mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw. The revitalization of the Moczydło centre will primarily involve the modernization of the recreational swimming pool, which will be equipped with a new stainless steel basin, a set of water slides, a climbing net, an obstacle course and wave ball. Around the pool there will be a paddling pool and a water plaza zone offering attractions for children. A beach is planned in the centre of it. In addition, two beach volleyball courts and one football pitch are to be extended. A playground for children will also be created. Modernization work will also include the replacement of water and sewage installations and the assembly of energy-saving lighting and monitoring system. The contractor of this project will be Moris-Polska, which will receive a gross amount of PLN 25,995 mln. The completion of the work is scheduled for the 31st of October 2018. The modernization of Górka Szczęśliwicka will primarily consist of the assembly of a new ski mat on the slope and on the trail of the T-bar lift along with the geotextile. The existing drainage systems and slope watering systems will also be checked. The wooden construction of the observation deck and the upper station of the chair-lift will be renovated and the installation of lighting for the ski slope will be replaced. There will be changing rooms in the basement of the building. The contractor is PPHU Wemo-Group Mariusz Maligłówka, which will receive a gross amount of PLN 9.84 mln. The completion of the work is planned until the 30th of September 2018. Moczydło and Górka Szczęśliwicka are not the only centres that will undergo modernization in the next few years. Works in various areas will also be conducted, including the centres: Hutnik, Namysłowska and Stegny. In the years 2017-2019, the city authorities plan to spend over PLN 130 mln on the revitalization of seven other urban sports centres. In Q1 2018, the modernized Inflancka centre will be put into operation again. The modernization of the Polonia and Skra centres is also planned.
