Poland Nova Marina for sailors in Gdynia

Public buildings
In Gdynia, in the historic location of the South Pier and by the yacht harbour, Ghelamco, together with the Polish Yachting Association (PZŻ), will build a multifunctional building with a sailing centre.

The Nova Marina Gdynia investment will be the culmination of Ghelamco's long-standing cooperation with the Polish Yachting Association and the associated Gdynia clubs. The city will gain a facility in line with its modernist traditions, and with a rich infrastructure for sailors.

The five-storey facility with a usable area of app. 20,000 sqm will house, among other things, the headquarters of Gdynia's clubs and the Polish Sailing Association, enriched with infrastructure for sailors, including premises overlooking the harbour and marina. The facility will be equipped with, among other things, hangars for storing yachts, as well as an underground garage.

Gdynia is a city where the idea of its creators, modernist architects and urban planners, can be felt at every step. Our project draws on these values and fits seamlessly into the context of the South Pier, alluding to the iconic buildings of 1930s Gdynia. The building's architecture is the result of a long collaboration with the city's authorities and the city's conservation officer.
Jarosław Zagórski, managing director of Ghelamco Poland

The proposed building is located directly next to the Gen. Mariusz Zaruski Sailing Basin.

Nova Marina Gdynia will be a worthy showcase of Polish sailing, providing infrastructure and areas for local and international activities.
Tomasz Chamera, president of the Polish Yachting Association

The Nova Marina Gdynia project was selected through a closed architectural concept competition, to which five Polish studios were invited. The jury included architects and representatives of the City of Gdynia, the Polish Yachting Association and Ghelamco. The winning concept was that of PIG Architekci studio.

Nova Marina Gdynia is a project implemented in a joint venture model by Ghelamco Poland and the Polish Yachting Association. Construction work is expected to start at the turn of 2024 and 2025. The building is scheduled for completion in 2027.
