Bielański hospital to be extended

POLAND The city of Warsaw has announced a tender to extend the Bielański hospital with a 10,000 sqm wing.

The new building will have ten operating theatres, an intensive care ward with ten beds, a post-operative ward, a physiotherapy centre, and a 37-bed psychiatric ward. The existing section of the hospital is also to be renovated and is to include an 18-bed maternity ward, a laboratory and a surgery. The project is being designed using BIM and the work is to be completed in 36 months. The Bielański hospital was opened in 1960. It has 21 wards with almost 600 beds.
