Lithuania Largest stadium in Lithuania completed

The renovation of the Darius and Girėnas Stadium in Kaunas has been completed. The grand opening will take place in mid-October, when the stadium will become the largest and most modern in the country.

The stadium in Lithuania’s second city will meet the highest UEFA requirements. it features also a running track, and so will be able to host top-level athletic competitions, The Darius and Girėnas Stadium now has a capacity of 15,000 spectators (up from 9,000 before the renovation work). The project, which began in the summer of 2018, cost EUR 43 mln.

The National Stadium of Lithuania in Vilnius was demolished a few months ago. The construction of a replacement is expected to start by the end of 2024.

The Czech industrial real estate market passed the 11 mln sqm mark, and grew by 10 pct year-on-year. The total volume of newly completed industrial space amounted to 217,900 sqm in Q1 of this year. Increased construction activity, which has been evident on the market since the end of 2021, is now bearing fruit, according to Colliers’ regular quarterly survey.
