Poland Polish FA kicks off 400 mln project

Public buildings
The National Centre for Football Training, Research and and Coaching will be built in Otwock, near Warsaw. The Polish Football Association is responsible for the construction of the facility. The cost of the investment is more than PLN 400 mln.

The National Centre for Football Training, Research and Coaching will be built on a 12 ha site in Otwock. It is to include eight pitches with grass surfaces, as well as a covered pitch. The plans also include a futsal hall, two beach football pitches (one covered), a medical centre and an equipment warehouse. The project also includes an administration and education building with an underground garage, a hotel and a dormitory for players for training at the Sports Championship School.

National teams should have their own "home". The creation of this centre will be a key investment for us. It will ensure an optimum level of development for female players, footballers and the discipline as a whole, allowing us to join the best European federations.
Cezary Kulesza, President of the Polish Football Association

The National Centre of Football Training, Research and Coaching will primarily fulfil the role of a training and coaching centre serving all Polish national football teams, Polish national futsal teams and Polish national beach football teams. Training of coaches and referees will also take place in Otwock. The centre will also conduct research into football development and coordinate the implementation of modern methods and solutions in the area of sports training.

Construction of the complex will begin in 2024, with completion scheduled for 2027. The Ministry of Sport and Tourism has subsidised the investment with PLN 304 mln.
