Poland Katowice swaps mine for technology hub
The Shaft Katowice – Silesian Hub for Advanced Future Technologies complex is to be built on the site of the Wieczorek coal mine in Katowice. Strabag has signed a PLN 577.2 mln contract with Katowickie Inwestycje to construct the first stage, with the work scheduled for completion within 32 months.

Poland City Park expands to 45,000 sqm
Construction work has begun on a new 10,000 sqm building in City Park Warsaw, which will comprise SBUs with office and warehousing space. Upon completion, the park will have a total leasable area of 45,000 sqm.

Poland Bank Millenium finances solar farms
Pad Res, a Polish developer and investor in renewable energy, has secured a PLN 107.1 mln loan from Bank Millennium. The funds will be used for the operational financing of 13 operating solar farms with a total capacity of 60.45 MW.

The B10 office building in Wrocław, owned by Vastint Poland, has been certified with a WiredScore Platinum rating. The certification is an assessment of such factors as the resilience and diversity of the telecommunications systems, the quality of the internet access, the use of the latest technology and the user experience.

Poland Office market in Warsaw remains stable
In the first half of 2025, 85,000 sqm was added to the Warsaw office market, of which 93 pct was delivered to the central zones mainly due to prestigious projects such as The Bridge (51,800 sqm) and Office House (27,800 sqm), according to the latest report from Axi Immo, titled 'The office market in Warsaw in H1 2025'. At the same time, the vacancy rate remains stable (10.8 pct), with 140,000 sqm under construction at the end of June 2025.

Shiji, a company specialising in IT solutions for the hospitality, retail, and leisure industries, has extended its lease of 2,000 sqm in Silesia Business Park in Katowice.

Poland Supply remains limited across the regions
At the end of H1 modern office stock across Poland's regional cities came to 6.75 mln sqm, according to data from Avison Young. New supply came to 2,400 sqm with 200,000 sqm under construction, while demand stood at 387,000 sqm. Quarter on quarter the vacancy rate remained stable at 17.5 pct.

The MS Galleon Capital Group has leased 3,000 sqm of office space in Warsaw's Diuna complex with an additional 700 sqm to be used as a showroom for the Cersanit bathroom ceramics brand and the Barlinek wooden flooring brand.
