Demand still high for warehouses in Q1
POLAND The total warehouse space take-up (excluding short-term contracts) in Poland amounted to 800,000 sqm in Q1, down from the record 1.1 mln sqm in the first quarter of 2018 and from the 855,000 sqm registered in Q1 2017. This was still, however, the third highest ever figure for the first quarter, says JLL.
Flexible space still expanding
EMEA REGION The phenomenal growth of flexible working space is likely to continue for many years to come and by 2022 is expected to have grown by over 50 pct, with around 750,000 workers using the space on a regular basis, claims Colliers International in its ‘Flexible Workspace Outlook Report 2019’.
Regional markets to be bigger than Warsaw
POLAND Office stock in the eight largest regional markets of Kraków, Wrocław, Tricity, Łódź, Poznań, Szczecin, Lublin and the Katowice metropolitan area, has grown to over 5 mln sqm, says Colliers International.
Europe hotel construction up 48.6 pct
EUROPE A total of 1,454 hotel projects were in the pipeline across Europe comprising 187,198 rooms in construction as of April this year, according to data from STR. This represents a 48.6 pct y-o-y increase in the number of rooms under development.
