Office building under preparation in Łódź
POLAND The Staszewscy Ziółkowscy Architekci studio has prepared the architectural design of an office building to be built at the junction of al. T. Kościuszki and ul. Zielona in Łódź. The plot, which is owned by the investor behind the project, Rzgowa, was formerly the site of a reform synagogue built according to a design by Adolf Wolff of Stuttgart that was burnt down and destroyed during the Second World War.

MVRDV wins hammer and sickle contest
RUSSIA The architectural and urban concept by Dutch architectural studio MVRDV has obtained the highest score in the international competition held by the city authorities to refurbish the 58 haterritory of the Moscow Metallurgical Plant Serp i Molot (‘Hammer and Sickle’).
