POLAND The Praga Północ Design Workshop [Warsztaty Projektowe Praga Północ] competition, organised by the Polish Union of Architects (SARP) and the city of Warsaw, is now underway.
The aim of the competition is to create a concept for the spatial, social and economic changes in the city’s Praga Północ district. Competition entries should address the redevelopment of commercial premises, functional changes to the streets and squares, and new transport links between: ul. Kijowska, ul. 11 Listopada and ul. Ratuszowa as well as for ul. Szwedzka, ul. Jagiellońska and ul. Wrzesińska. Five design teams are to be selected in the first stage of the competition, after whic
