Strabag to build EUR 40 mln bypass in northern Poland
POLAND Austrian construction company Strabag has won a EUR 40 mln (PLN 165 mln) consortium contract to build a 7.6 km bypass around the Polish city of Kościerzyna in northern part of the country, supported by its subsidiary, Heilit+Woerner.

Researchers develop crack-detecting “skin” for concrete structures
UNITED STATES/ FINLAND Researchers from North Carolina State University and the University of Eastern Finland have come up with an innovative technology that helps to monitor concrete structures and quickly respond to any damages as they occur, boosting construction safety and reducing fallout from the cracks.
