Bucharest two-tower office project now fully LEED-certified
ROMANIA City Gate South Tower, a 18-storey building that makes up the two-tower, 44,000 sqm City Gate office project in Bucharest, has earned LEED certification with ‘Silver’ rating. The project’s second tower, City Gate North Tower, obtained LEED certification with ‘Gold’ rating last year.

POLAND Warsaw Financial Center has been granted LEED Gold certificate in building operations and maintenance of existing buildings.The owners of the office building, Allianz Real Estate and Tristan Capital Partners-managed Curzon Capital Partners III, launched the certification process in January 2014.

POLAND The Sterlinga Business Center in Łódź, owned by Hines, has obtained a BREEAM In-Use certificate at the ‘Excellent’ level for both the building management and for the asset.
Lithuanian government invests in energy efficiency
LITHUANIA Lithuanian Ministry of Energy is set to improve energy efficiency of app. 3,500 to 4,000 residential buildings in the country by 2020. Estimated at app. LTL 1.5 bln (EUR 0.4 bln), the project will be partly financed by the EU, reports vz.lt.

Schneider Electric going greener
POLAND It seems that Schneider Electric, the French electricity distribution and energy management company, lives up to its green logo and business interests. The company has recently moved its Warsaw headquarters to a new, energy-efficient 32,000 sqm office building, designed to make the best use of Schneider Electric’s building management solutions, where it will ultimately take up 6,500 sqm of space.

EIB pours EUR 136.5 mln into Bucharest green housing
ROMANIA European Investment Bank (EIB) will lend EUR 136.5 mln to help increase energy efficiency in the Bucharest residential buildings.
