RSSShopping centres still dominate Polish retail
POLAND App. 814,500 sqm of new retail space, in shopping centres, retail parks and outlet centres, is currently under construction in Poland, while shopping malls alone account for more than 700,000 sqm of the stock, says JLL in its latest report.

Rosehill takes over Galeria Młociny site
POLAND Rosehill Investments, which has recently purchased a 5-ha plot in Warsaw to construct a shopping centre, will materialize its plans on a land plot where previously Coimpex had intended to build Galeria Młociny, according to what ‘Eurobuild CEE’ has found from Rosehill.

Sinsay enters Leszno market
POLAND The Galeria Leszno shopping centre in Leszno will now house a Sinsay store. LPP-owned fashion retailer Sinsay will take up app. 370 sqm of space.

European operations drive Tesco global sales
CEE REGION In the first half of its 2014/2015 fiscal year, Tesco has seen its total European sales (excluding the UK) dipping by 1.8 pct y-o-y at constant rates and by 9.3 pct y-o-y at actual rates, to GBP 4.84 bln. Meanwhile, Tesco's overall trading profits in Europe increased by 38 pct, to GBP 76 mln, marking the best overseas H1 result.
