Retail consumption grows across the EU
EUROPE Retail turnover is to increase by 2 pct in nominal terms in the 27 countries of the European Union this year, forecasts GFK. The largest increases are forecast in Romania and Lithuania.
Primark comes to Młociny
POLAND Primark has signed a lease to open a store in the Galeria Młociny mall, in Warsaw, which is jointly owned by EPP (with a 70 pct stake) and Echo Investment.

PLN 40 mln subsidy for Masurian water-world
POLAND The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development [PARP] has announced that it has awarded a subsidy to two projects as part of the fourth ‘Product Chain Creation By Small and Medium Enterprises’ [Tworzenie Produktów Sieciowych Przez MŚP] competition for the Operational Programme Eastern Poland 2014–2020. One of the two winners is a real estate project: Wodny Świat, which is to be built in Giżycko and Gajewo.

Spar vs Spar: the battle continues
POLAND The District Court in Kielce has dismissed the suit brought by Spar International to suspend the the ruling of May 16th 2019, ruling that the termination of the licensing contract held by Spar Polska was not lawful. The decision cannot be appealed.
