Amazon to let home devices place online orders on their own

UNITED STATES Online retailer Amazon has developed a solution that allows any connected home device to autonomously re-order products from Amazon when supplies are running low.
The Dash Replenishment Service (DRS) can be integrated into any Internet-connected device either directly or through a proxy. The system will offer the users access to Amazon's authentication and payment systems, customer service and fulfillment service. White goods and electronics manufacturers will be able to either build a physical replenishment button into their devices to re-order products or measure consumable usage so that re-ordering is initiated automatically.
