Croatia Rooms with a view
AC Hotels by Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 31 brands, has announced its brand debut in Croatia with the opening of AC Hotel by Marriott Split. The new hotel is housed on the high floors of the 135-metre-high Westgate Tower with spectacular views of the Adriatic Sea and Split’s unique cityscape.

Poland Tenant activity slows down
According to the 'Occupier Insight – Industrial and Warehouse Market in Poland H1 2023' report prepared by Newmark Polska, both tenants and developers are currently exhibiting caution in their decision-making, which has resulted in a decline in leasing activity and construction volumes. Meanwhile, the availability of space in existing warehouses has increased.

Poland GTC records growth
GTC has presented its financial results for H1 of 2023. Rental and service revenues ranked at EUR 90 mln (EUR 85 mln in the corresponding period of 2022), while rental revenue growth increased by 8 pct on a like-for-like basis.

At the end of H1 2023, the total warehouse space owned by Accolade amounted to 1.3 mln sqm within 26 parks located across Poland. The total value of the portfolio under management is more than EUR 1.3 bln.

Czech Republic Panasonic starts production in Pilsen
The hall in Panattoni Park Pilsen West II has welcomed Panasonic as a new tenant. The hall, with a total area of over 24,600 sqm, will be used for the production and storage of control panels for air conditioners and heat pumps manufactured in the Czech Republic.

IGS Schreiner Polska has decided to relocate to a warehouse center in the southwestern part of Warsaw, Panattoni Park Nadarzyn II. Under the signed agreement, the tenant will occupy 5060 sqm of logistics and office space.

Germany Sonar leases to Volkswagen OTL
Sonar Real Estate has agreed a long-term lease to Volkswagen Original Teile Logistik in a logistics property, totalling approx. 21,250 sqm, in Fritzlar, Hesse. Sonar acted as the asset manager for the property, which is part of the portfolio of the EPISO 5 fund managed by Tristan Capital Partners.

Slovakia Mitiska gears up for expansion in Slovakia
Mitiska REIM has purchased a retail park in Skalica on behalf of the MEREP 3 fund. The company is also developing a new facility in Sládkovičovo and has announced plans to increase its portfolio of retail parks in Slovakia in partnership with OPC Group.

CEE The top 5 hotel markets
In Cushman & Wakefield’s latest Hotel Operator Beat survey, Budapest was placed as the most attractive market in CEE, reaching 4.3 points on a 1–5 scale where 5 means very high interest. Prague is a little step down with 4.2 points, and Warsaw, Kraków and Bucharest complete the top 5 markets targeted by hotel operators.

Poland Panattoni with the financing from BGK
Panattoni has been granted financing for the development of City Logistics Warsaw IX in Targówek – one of its urban parks in Warsaw. The EUR 10.5 mln loan was granted by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.

Polska 54 million to build two farms
Pad Res has closed a financing agreement with the Polish Development Fund (PFR) for PLN 240 mln. The funding will be allocated to the construction of two photovoltaic farms, with a combined capacity of 117 MW, in northern Poland.
