CZECH REPUBLIC The façade of the Bieblova residence project, constructed out of Hi-Macs Solid Surface, has been designed by P6PA+Architects as a tribute to Konstantin Biebl, a prominent Czech poet from the inter-war period who lends his name to the street in Prague where the building is located.

ESTONIA Estonian Centre of Architecture is holding an international competition to find a project to represent Estonia at the 16th La Biennale di Venezia Architecture Exhibition to be held in Venice. The first stage of the public two-stage competition will close on the 31st of May, 2017 with five entries being chosen to move onto the second stage, all of which are to be exhibited publicly on the 15th June 2017 in Tallinn.

Riga Castle restoration complete

LATVIA After a renovation, Riga Castle has regained its historic glory. The castle front has been restored and the East wing extended. State real estate company Valsts Nekustamie Īpašumi commissioned the work, which took five years to complete, from SBRE, a general partnership of Re&Re and Skonto Būve.
