POLAND The V.Offices office project, which is being developed by AFI Europe, has won the Regional Award for Central and Eastern Europe at the BREEAM Awards 20018. The awards ceremony took place on Tuesday March 6th at London’s ExCeL Centre.

WORLD The ‘green building’ concept has been reinvented by Japanese company Sumitomo Forestry, which has announced plans to build the world’s tallest wooden building – a 350m tower with office space, a hotel, retail/services and a residential section.

HUNGARY Futureal has received WELL Platinum precertification for three of its office building projects at the same time: Advance Tower, Corvin Technology & Science Park (Corvin 5) and Budapest One Business Park. The three office complexes in Budapest, will offer over 100,000 sqm of office space in total.

Skanska to pioneer solar façades
POLAND Skanska has announced it is launching a programme to create solar façades for its future office projects. The first trials of this technology are to be launched this year in Poland, with the aim of delivering a fully-fledged product by 2021.
