Marriott to open Moxy in Praga district
POLAND Global Hospitality Licencing, a subsidiary of Marriott International, has signed a franchise agreement with the owners of the Centrum Praskie Konser mixed-use project in Warsaw’s Praga district for the opening of a Moxy hotel. The hotel with 141 rooms and occupying 5,447 sqm of space will be the first Moxy to open in Warsaw. It is scheduled to open next year.
Two (in one) hotels opened in Wrocław

POLAND According to a report prepared by Christie & Co, the number of tourists using hotels in Poland increased by 86 pct from 2006 until 2015.

EUROPE In H1 2016 Orbis had a double-digit growth of its Rev PAR index (10.2 pct) compared to H1 2015 thanks to higher operational indexes across Eastern Europe (an increase of the occupancy rate by 1.9 percentage points and the average price per room by 6.9 pct), reports the hotel operator.
Kyiv hotel occupancy increases
UKRAINE Kyiv hotel occupancy increased to 37 pct in the first half of the year, according to JLL. This signifies a growth of 5.3 percentage points compared to the same period in 2015.
200 rooms in Żelazna
POLAND Reformer Development is planning the construction of a hotel at ul. Żelazna 54 in the centre of Warsaw. The hotel will have four stars.

Dekpol goes to the beach
POLAND Dekpol, which offers general contractor services, has signed a contract with Arkony Sopot concerning the construction of an apartment and hotel project in Sopot. The contract includes the redevelopment and extension of a pre-war La Playa Palace villa as well as the construction of the La Playa Apartments boarding house, the development of the area and the construction of the road and pavement layout. The project is located between ul. Wosia Budzysza and ul. Powstańców Warszawy, in the direct vicinity of Park Północny and the beach.
