POLAND An office block under construction in the second stage of the GPP Business Park in Katowice is the first building in Poland and the second in Continental Europe to be awarded BREEAM with a grade of ‘Outstanding’.
(The first building outside the UK to be awarded such a grade was the Spielberk Tower in Brno.) The project, which is being developed by GPP Group, will use a natural gas system that is capable of producing 1,547 mW-h a year for its heat, electricity and cooling needs. Additionally, ING Services Polska,, which provides IT services for the ING group, has leased 5,600 sqm within the 7,800 sqm building, which is to be completed in Q2 2014.
