Ben Bannatyne appointed president of Prologis Europe

EUROPE Ben Bannatyne, the managing director of Prologis in Central and Eastern Europe, has been appointed president of Prologis Europe.
He will step into his new role in January 2016, succeeding Philip Dunne, who has been in the role for almost seven years. He will report to Gary E. Anderson, the chief executive officer of Prologis Europe and Asia, and will oversee all activities in Europe. This activity covers 14 countries and a portfolio of 16.6 mln sqm, as of 30th September 2015. Germany Strabag to help build Fehmarn tunnel

Strabag has been appointed by DB InfraGO AG to construct several sections of the Fehmarn Sound Crossing, connecting the island of Fehmarn with the German mainland via a 2.2 km tunnel. The tunnel is to replace the existing Fehmarn Sound Bridge. Road traffic will run on four lanes through two tunnel tubes, while a rail line will be routed on two tracks in separate tubes.
