BENGAL/POLAND LPP has decided to sign the Transition Accord under the Accord initiative. Its main goal will be to prepare the Bengali government to supervise and inspect factories and to ensure that measures taken to permanently improve working conditions are implemented.
“The new agreement is primarily to prepare the Bengali government for local institutions to take over the experience and competences of Accord. This will allow independent inspections and, eventually result in full control being taken over further improvements in factory working conditions. The new agreement is also a guarantee for us that the efforts taken so far will have lasting results and the standards we expect from our suppliers will be maintained,” explains Anna Miazga, the CSR coord
