Poland Retailers boycott Russian goods

Corporate social responsibility
Numerous retail chains in Poland have announced that they will no longer be stocking Russian or Belarussian goods in protest of the war in Ukraine.
So far the boycott has been joined by such chains as Aldi, Rossmann, Netto, Polomarket, Topaz, Stokrotka, Żabka and Frisco. Aldi’s announcement reads: Aldi is announcing the withdrawal from sale of all the Russian goods that were on offer at the beginning of the year. Furthermore, the discount chain will not be selling goods from Russia or Belarus... We will keep you informed of other initiatives in support of Ukrainian workers and refugees. Slovakia Industrial space almost 5 mln sqm

The Industrial Research Forum presents an overview of Slovakia's warehouse and industrial real estate market in Q2 2026. Total supply of modern industrial space reached 4.89 mln sqm. The gross take-up totalled 93,400 sqm, representing a 9 pct y-o-y decrease. The net take-up (excluding lease renegotiations) amounted to 66,600 sqm. The Vacancy rate increased slightly q-o-q to 7.80 pct. A total of 25,800 sqm of new space was delivered to the market in Q2 2026, while 265,800 sqm of space was under construction, with 37 pct already pre-leased. Prime rents stayed flat at EUR 5.30 per sqm per month.

Warsaw’s office stock expanded by 45,210 sqm in H1 2026, driven by the completion of Studio A, Vena and the refurbishment of Przemysłowa 26-26a. While new office developments were completed in Q1, Q2 saw only the final phase of the refurbishment of Przemysłowa 26, according to the latest figures from Avison Young.
