POLAND The offices of BuroHappold Engineering in Spektrum Tower in the centre of Warsaw have been awarded WELL Certification with a rating of ‘Gold’ for its office in Warsaw by the International WELL Building Institute.
The office of around 1,300 sqm scored highly in seven categories: Air, Water, Light, Nourishment, Fitness, Comfort and Mind. When designing the space BuroHappold paid special attention to the lighting and the acoustics. Using Comfortmeter methodology 66 pct of employees were recorded as happy about the sound levels, as compared to the 59 pct best practice benchmark and 85 pct were satisfied with the overall lighting levels, exceeding the European best practice benchmark of 78 pct.
