Panattoni certifies three buildings

Green projects
POLAND Warehouse developer Panattoni has certified three buildings under BREEAM with a rating of ‘Very Good’. The buildings are City Logistics Łódź I (over 30,000 sqm), Panattoni Park Opole (almost 29,000 sqm) and Panattoni Park Pruszków III hall A (lmost 31,000 sqm).

The developer previously announced that it had completed the certification of a 60,000 sqm building occupied by Amazon around 100 km west of Wrocław in the village of Okmiany near the town of Bolesławiec. As a result, in the first half of this year alone, certificates with ‘Very Good’ ratings have been awarded to buildings with a total of 150,000 sqm.

“Our Go Earthwise concept, whch we introduced at Panattoni this year, aims to create a new standard for warehousing in Europe by minimising the impact that development has on the natural environment,” says Robert Dobrzycki, CEO of Panattoni.

In Poland alone, Panattoni owns 30 centres that have been built to be environmentally sustainable, 14 of which are BREEAM certified with ratings of 'Good', eight with ‘Very Good’ , and two LEED buildings with ratings of ‘Gold’ and ‘Silver’. In total, they account for 1.4 mln sqm, and a further 1.75 mln is in the pipeline. Panattoni's sustainable development policy applies throughout Europe. Just in the past year, 18 BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certificates have been issued for developments in the UK, while five have been issued in the Czech Republic, including one with a rating of 'Excellent'. Across Europe, Panattoni is planning to have an additional 2.5 mln sqm cerified for its environmental sustainability.
