CEE REGION Skanska applies for nine new Well antivirus certificates

Green projects
Skanska is to apply for the new Well Health-Safety Rating for nine of its buildings in the CEE region.

The latest WELL Building Institute certificate is awarded to office space with the highest safety standards that reduce the risk of disease transmission. Applications for the certificate are being made for:

These should be the first Skanska properties to receive the rating, which is expected to awarded in the next months.

The pandemic has forced the world to adjust to these exceptional circumstances. The work environment and workplaces are crucial in ensuring health and safety. As a sustainable developer and an office real estate market leader that operates on ten city markets in the CEE region, we feel obliged to provide offices that are as healthy as possible and to set a new direction for the market. The safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers, partners and communities are Skanska’s top priority.
Jacob Møller-Nielsen of the EVP Center of Excellence of Skanska’s commercial development business in the CEE region

Skanska has already launched its own ‘Care for Life Office Concept’ to meet such needs. This takes into account not only the comfort of use but also the microbiological safety of users. It includes professional consulting for tenants and establishing various safety protocols and solutions to reduce the spread of coronavirus or other future viral outbreaks. It also involves physical distancing measures and adjustments in terms of space planning consultations and requirements to ensure proper physical distancing, contact-free systems, facility management sanitisation and disinfection plans, as well as office air quality management.
