Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate is to convert all the properties in its portfolio to green electricity and carbon neutral natural gas.
The switch to environmentally-friendly energy is being implemented under the German real estate investor’s ESG (environmental, social and governance) policy and in partnership with Hamburg-based energy provider Lichtblick. A total of 126 properties are to be eventually converted, which should result in a reduction of 7,500 tonnes of carbon emissions.
