POLAND Warsaw Trade Tower now ‘Excellent’

Green projects
Warsaw Trade Tower has been awarded a new BREEAM In-Use certificate with a rating of ‘Excellent’.

The 42-storey office skyscraper, with a height of 208m as well as over 45,000 sqm of office space, previously held a BREEAM In-Use ‘Very Good’ certificate. Its new rating of ‘Excellent’ with a score of 76.1 pct follows the recent modernisation of the building. Since it was acquired by Globalworth in Q2 2019, the company has invested several million złoty on improving the environmental credentials of the tower, which has now been re-assessed under eight criteria: health and well being, energy, transport, water, materials, waste, site use and ecology, and pollution. WTT scored highest for materials (100 pct), waste (100 pct) and health and well being (97 pct).

Receiving a BREEAM certificate with a rating of ‘Excellent’ is the latest step in raising the quality of WTT to the highest office standards. So far, we have budgeted several million for this and you can see the results of this investment. We are already preparing further improvements, both to the technical standards and the way the building functions, for which we are going to use proptech. In the short term, these will result in raising our office tower onto the podium of one of the best office buildings in Poland.
Maciej Kamiński, the head of property and facility management at Globalworth Poland

Warsaw Trade Tower is situated on ul. Chłodna in the city’s Wola-Centrum district, close to the junction between ul. Towarowa and al. Solidarności as well as the Rondo Daszyńskiego metro station. Several companies have their regional headquarters in the building, including insurance firm Axa, American Express, Avanssur, Leroy-Merlin and Mattel.
