Kajima and Griffin invest in green energy

Kajima Europe and Griffin Real Estate have announced the establishment of a joint venture to finance and develop renewable energy projects in Poland.

As part of the deal, the joint venture has acquired a 72% stake in PAD-RES, a leading developer of clean energy assets in Poland. The companies plan to focus on further development of PAD-RES’s renewable energy portfolio, which comprises investments in solar and wind projects at various stages of development with an operational capacity of over 500MW. Griffin Real Estate will act as a co-owner and investment manager of the platform, while Mariusz Adamczewski, the founder of PAD-RES, will remain as CEO and as a minor investor.

Accolade has secured EUR 24 mln in financing from Bank Pekao to develop its Białystok III park. Białystok III is to be a 34,000 sqm warehouse centre. Including this project, Accolade has a portfolio of over 110,000 sqm with completion scheduled for the first half of 2026.

A 1,200m bridge has been opened in the Podlaskie region, being one of the ten longest bridges in Poland. The bridge forms a key section of the Łomża bypass and is part of the S61 route. The general contractor was Intercor.

CTP holds the record

The newly constructed warehouse, which has expanded CTPark Prague West, has been certified as the most environmentally friendly industrial building in the Czech Republic according to ‘BREEAM New Construction’ standards, with a record score of 92.1 pct. The building is home to Rhenus Logistics, which uses it as a cross-dock for its pan-European network for collection services and warehousing.

Owned by the Capital Park Group, the Warsaw mixed use complex Norblin Factory has received the final BREEAM certificates for both its office and retail sections. A photovoltaic system has been installed in the complex, and the managers are continuing their efforts to steadily reduce the property’s carbon footprint.

Energy consumption reduced by almost 48 pct, almost 4 mln litres of water saved in a year and CO2 emissions reduced by more than 3,900 tonnes - these are the savings generated by the Warsaw P180 office building, developed by Skanska in Warsaw by the Wilanowska metro station. The investment has just received LEED Core & Shell certification at the Platinum level.
