World Skanska to be even greener

Green projects
Skanska has announced it will tackle its own greenhouse emissions more aggressively and cut its 2015 CO2 emissions by 70 pct by 2030.
The previous target was 50 pct by 2030, but Skanska has decided that having already cut its emissions by 40 pct, it will should aim for tougher targets. The overall goal of being carbon neutral by 2045 remains. The message in the report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) this autumn is clear. Yareal Polska continues to expand the retail tenant mix for its flagship, mixed-use complex in Warsaw's Praga Południe district. SOHO by Yareal now includes a Maxi Zoo pet store, the Alike Pottery Studio, and the Unroasted coffee store. Under the new agreements, Yareal has leased nearly 500 sqm on the ground floors of the buildings.

Panattoni, together with Eika Asset Management, an investment management company, have begun the development of Panattoni Park Kraków West IV. The centre, comprising over 46,000 sqm, will be built in Skawina, within the Kraków metropolitan area. The first tenant, a retailer of wooden panelling, will occupy nearly 17,000 sqm.

CEE Region Rents rising with limited supply

Warsaw ranks as the fourth least affordable capital for a single person, with essential monthly expenses, including housing, food, transport, personal care and leisure, totalling EUR 1,836. With the average net salary standing at EUR 1,911, these costs absorb 96.1 pct of typical earnings, leaving residents with just EUR 74 per month. Only Lisbon, Tirana, and Athens offer worse affordability among the 37 capital cities surveyed by Tradingpedia.

CTP holds the record

The newly constructed warehouse, which has expanded CTPark Prague West, has been certified as the most environmentally friendly industrial building in the Czech Republic according to ‘BREEAM New Construction’ standards, with a record score of 92.1 pct. The building is home to Rhenus Logistics, which uses it as a cross-dock for its pan-European network for collection services and warehousing.

Very Green Norblin

Owned by the Capital Park Group, the Warsaw mixed use complex Norblin Factory has received the final BREEAM certificates for both its office and retail sections. A photovoltaic system has been installed in the complex, and the managers are continuing their efforts to steadily reduce the property’s carbon footprint.

Energy consumption reduced by almost 48 pct, almost 4 mln litres of water saved in a year and CO2 emissions reduced by more than 3,900 tonnes - these are the savings generated by the Warsaw P180 office building, developed by Skanska in Warsaw by the Wilanowska metro station.
