Poland GLP uses smog busting paving

Green projects
GLP has launched a pilot project at the GLP Wroclaw IV Logistics Centre, where special paving stones manufactured by Libet help to reduce harmful airborne pollutants.

Part of the car park has been paved with these smog-absorbing paving stones containing titanium dioxide. When exposed to sunlight, this molecule helps reduce the level of nitrogen oxide in the air by over a third. The nitrogen oxide is converted into soluble ions, which are later washed away by the rain. GLP Wroclaw IV Logistics Centre is located within the city’s limits, making it ideal for local, national and international distribution needs. The tenants include automotive suppliers such as Gestamp and Dongshin and the centre also includes office space.

More and more of our clients are starting to care for the environment and are taking employee well-being into account. This informs their decisions on how they organise their supply chains and use infrastructure so that they can reduce carbon emissions and reach their sustainable development goals. Having them and local communities in mind makes us eager to use such innovative technologies.
