The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is to provide a PLN 144 mln (EUR 30 mln equivalent) loan to support the development, construction and operation of a 56MW wind farm in Żelechowo in Western Pomerania.
The project is to be co-financed with mBank, with the borrower being a company indirectly owned by independent Israeli wind and solar power producer Energix Renewables Energy, which has an existing relationship with the EBRD. The company, which entered the Polish market in 2012, is expected to reach 300 MW of installed capacity in the country by the end of 2022.
The 16-turbine wind farm in Żelechowo, which is around 50 km south of Szczecin, is expected to reduce CO2 emissions from electricity
