Poland LEED by the seaside

ESG
Sopot Marriott Resort & Spa, inaugurated in 2012, has been awarded the LEED Gold certification in the Operations and Maintenance category, granted to existing buildings.

Sopot Marriott Resort & Spa is located directly on the seaside beach in Sopot. It offers accommodation, conference and banquet facilities, as well as a SPA with 35 cosmetic treatment rooms and a relaxation area with pools, sauna and jacuzzi.

The certification process helped us maintain and, in some aspects, improve the operational performance of the building, supporting energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and providing comfortable spaces for users. At the same time, we have achieved the environmental goals of our ESG strategy, according to which all Vastint buildings should have environmental certifications, preferably in line with recognized international certification systems.
David Pettersson, senior project manager at Vastint Poland

The four-story building, covering an area of over 12,000 sqm, is characterized by simple architecture reminiscent of Polish seaside modernism. Its external elevations are entirely made of Siberian larch. Courtyards on both sides of the hotel are covered with sandy dunes overgrown with seaside vegetation. The whole is complemented by water features, a stone stream, and green roofs.
