Retail investment picking up
Retail investment activity reached its highest quarterly level of 2025 across most European markets surveyed in Q4, with total commercial real estate volumes reaching EUR 23.8 bln in the UK, EUR 8.8 bln in Germany, EUR 5.0 bln in France and EUR 4.9 bln in Spain, according to the ‘Focus Estate Fund Quarterly Litmus Paper, Q4 2025’.
Auchan takes on Bi1 stores
Auchan Polska has signed a franchise agreement for eight hypermarkets previously operating under the Bi1 brand. The French hypermarket chain will now number 80 stores.
Hotel transactions boom
The Czech hotel market is building on an exceptionally strong year in 2025, marked by a significant increase in transaction volumes and investor interest. According to Cushman & Wakefield, a total of 16 hotels were sold in the Czech Republic, representing 2,989 rooms and a total transaction volume of EUR 764 mln. Based on available data, this represents the highest annual transaction volume ever recorded on the Czech hotel market.
Strong performance from industrial sector
Strong tenant activity in the fourth quarter and the second-highest annual result in the market’s history confirm that the industrial and logistics sector remains one of the most resilient segments of commercial real estate in Poland. Despite limited new supply, the market maintains a stable equilibrium, according to the 'Review. Industrial and Logistics Real Estate Market' report for Q4 2025 by BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland.
Greetings from day three of MIPIM!
On a very busy second day of the MIPIM in Cannes, Eurobuild CEE and MDDP held their MIPIM lunch at the La Plage du Festival beach restaurant on the resort's Croissette boulevard. This was followed by Eurobuild's second big event, this time at the Palais des Festivals: the 'Why Poland Now? How Polish Cities Compete for Capital in the CEE Investment Cycle' discussion panel.
