Poland First wooden office building in the capital
The office building in Poleczki Park, designed by the Ambient studio, has been granted a building permit. It will be the first facility of its kind in Warsaw to be constructed using wooden technology. The investor is UBM Development Polska.

Poland Vastint extends leases
Vastint Poland has renegotiated its lease agreements within the Business Garden complex in Warsaw. Companies such as Credit Agricole, European Leasing Fund, Amundi, Schenker, Continental, Pretius, Expeditors, Eli Lilly, Upfield and STM will remain tenants of the complex.

Poland 2024 will be greener
Only 60,900 sqm of office space was completed in the Polish capital in 2023. It's the lowest total in the history of the Warsaw office market. Savills also notes that development activity picked up in the H2 of last year, in response to a prolonged period of undersupply.

Poland Booster Zabrze for business and local community
LemonTree will build Booster Zabrze in cooperation with Commercecon. The development in Zabrze is a combination of a business complex with offices, service and logistics space with a total area of 111,000 sqm.

Securitas relocated its offices in Romania to @Expo, office complex in the Expozitiei area of Bucharest. The company operates in the security services area.

Poland Baker McKenzie moves into Varso Tower
HB Reavis has signed a 10-year lease agreement with international law firm Baker McKenzie Poland. The firm will move its Polish headquarters to the Varso Tower building, where it will occupy circa 4,400 sqm of space.

Its members – CBRE, Colliers, Cushman & Wakefield, iO Partners, Knight Frank and Savills – share non-sensitive information intending to provide consistent data about the Prague market. Vastint Romania has a new tenant for its Business Garden Bucharest office project. Vel Pitar, a member of the Bimbo Group, a world leader in bakery, will take up the whole floor in building B, comprising an area of 1,160 sqm.

MDDP Outsourcing has become the first tenant of the Vibe office building in Warsaw, which is currently being developed by Ghelamco. The area leased by the accounting, HR, payroll and tax services specialist comes to app. 2,000 sqm, covering two whole floors.

Legrand Care, a manufacturer of alarm systems, has leased app. 900 sqm of office space in a multi-functional building on Robert-Bürkle-Strasse in Ismaning, Bavaria.

Poland Atlas Ward takes a floor in the tower
Atlas Ward Polska has become a new tenant of Varso Tower. The Warsaw branch of the general contractor will occupy the 29th floor of the office building developed and managed by HB Reavis. The company's employees will move into the new office in June 2024.

Hungary Multifunctional centre to be built in Budapest
The Centrale multifunctional building complex will be built on one of the city's main intermodal hubs, the Puskás Ferenc Stadion metro station. The 29,000 sqm development, with its unique architectural and forward-thinking solutions, will offer commercial and service space, a unique F&B hub, offices and a hotel.

Europe Office occupancy rate steadily rises
Average office occupancy rates across eight major European markets have risen in the last six months from 55 pct to 57 pct, says Savills, however on Tuesdays and Wednesdays the average is 64 pct and 62 pct respectively, closer to the pre-pandemic rate of circa 70 pct.
