Poland Green energy in North Gate
Deka Immobilien, the owner of the North Gate office building in Warsaw, has signed a lease agreement with a company operating in the renewable energy sector. The tenant has taken an office of more than 5,000 sqm.

Hungary Entire floor rented at ZenGarden
ZenGarden, an office complex in Budapest, has achieved over 90 pct occupancy. The latest tenant, who remains confidential, has taken the entire floor i.e. 1,300 sqm.

Skanska is starting construction of phase II of the Studio complex. The development will deliver 26,600 sqm of office space to the Warsaw's market. Studio A building will be completed in 2025.

Eurovea Tower, the first skyscraper in Bratislava, has received use permit. Construction of Slovakia’s tallest building led by JTRE is almost completed. Only apartment interiors and common areas need to be finished before properties are handed over in spring 2024.

The trading of WeWork's shares on Wall Street was suspended today, following the coworking operator's filing for financial reorganisation (Chapter 11). For several days, the global media has been reporting on the increasing problems faced by the chain and, according to some sources, a bankruptcy petition for WeWork is to be filed this week.

Poland Cavatina plans 100m tower in central Warsaw
Cavatina is to begin consultations related to a mixed-use project at ul. Chmielna 75 in Warsaw. The developer recently signed a conditional agreement to purchase the 1 ha site from the Polska Poczta (the Polish Post Office). The initial plans include the construction of a building over 100m in height.

Poland Historic Łódź warehouse to be transformed
A&A Holding has received the building permit for the redevelopment of Magazyn Bawełny (Cotton Warehouse) in Łódź, which once served as a warehouse for a neighbouring cotton mill. The mixed-use project is to be developed within the Manufaktura complex in the city.

Poland Warsaw office development slows down sharply
Cushman & Wakefield has released a summary of office market conditions in Warsaw. This year’s development activity is expected to fall to its lowest in nearly 25 years amid a record number of leases, falling vacancy rates and the continued upward pressure on rental growth.

Romania Extensions rather than new leases
In Bucharest the interest of office tenants was much higher for contract extensions than for new spaces in Q3 2023. The companies traded a total area of 158,900 sqm, of which 104,000 sqm were extensions and 51,900 sqm leases of new spaces, according to the analysis made by Fortim Trusted Advisors, member of the BNP Paribas Real Estate Alliance.
